Guest guest
Hi Bunny, I would see an optician or a doctor as soon as possible. > thyroid treatment > From: karen.liff@...> Date: Wed, 7 Jul 2010 14:44:45 +0000> Subject: Something odd happening with my eyes - not sure if I am dong something wrong?> > Hi Everyone> > I've also seemed to have really dry itchy eyes every time it happens and the far corner of both of my eyes is bright red, like bloodshot but completely red - it's like the far corner of my eyes has been coloured in with a red pen and the line seperating it from the rest of my eye is completely straight so it looks really odd. I have got a very bad headache today admittedly but that's not particularly unusual for me, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if one of the supplements I'm taking could be having an effect on my eyes I'm not aware of.> > At the moment I'm taking:> > > Bunny> > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
Bunny I had that a few times before I was diagnosed with Thyroid, bright red like you've been hit with something? The first time I'd been tiling kitchen floor and put it down to a bit of ceramic dust from cutting the tiles getting in my eye. Then it happened again, it was just there when I woke up (eyes had been dry itchy before that) next day it was gone? Few weeks later it came back and I went to doc who surprisly didn't know what it was but said it could be a small blood vessel had burst with me rubbing at eyes. When I think about now though I was rubbing whole eye yet it was always outside corner...never did get to the bottom of it but it was weird looking! It was only eye with me though, I'd do like says :-) Love Tess > > > Hi Bunny, > I would see an optician or a doctor as soon as possible. > > > > >
Guest guest
HI BUNNY, Have you checked your BP, as my sister's eyes bled I think it was a blood vessel burst, but it was due to high BP. I also get sore gritty eyes, but have been told that the gland does not make enough fluid so have to use eye drops to moisten them. Iron can cause gastric bleeding, so could it cause eyes to become bloodshot. Do you wear glasses or contact lenses, as contact lenses can easily cause infection. My arms too have started itching after washing then using aqueas cream, but this was very bad when I had an electrolye problem even washing in plain water I itched like mad plus nearly driving me mad. It was corrected by giving potassium and sodium. You should either see an optician or your GP. I hope you get sorted out soon. Kathleen > > I've been on Armour for about 8 or 8 weeks now and am up to 1.5 grains and am taking various vitamin supplements. Everything seemed okay except I've gone into the bathroom and looked in the mirror a few times over the last 3 or 4 weeks and I kept noticing one of my pupils was bigger than the other. I thought it was just my bad eyesight and I was imagining it but today when I looked it was really obvious and not something I could miss. > >
Guest guest
Hi Tess, Yes it does look like I've been hit with something and I always seem to wake up with it too - has gone again now. I'm waiting to see an eye expert (insert technical term here!) in a few weeks about my double vision so will wait and tell them about it if it's still happening. Thanks for your help ; ) Bunny > > Bunny I had that a few times before I was diagnosed with Thyroid, bright red like you've been hit with something? Guest guest
Hi Kathleen I did have quite high blood pressure up until I started taking Armour about two months ago now - but it seems to be normal again now. I don't wear glasses or contact lenses - I probably should but they keep saying all my eye problems are caused by my thyroid/ME so glasses can't help them. I know what you mean tho cos when I did have high blood pressure it really used to feel like it was damaging my eyes and they used to be very red all the time - this is wierd tho cos it's only in the far corners. Oh well at least my blood pressure has gone down now thanks to the Armour so I can rule that out. Thanks for your help.
