Guest guest
Hi, I had an EKG about 2 weeks ago that was normal. I had the 24 Hour Holtor Monitor and an Echo Stess Test where I got on the treadmill. Well, this is the report I got today: The 24 hour monitor looks ok expect for the Upper Chambers are having extra beats. He said that was normal in a lot of people and nothing serious. He did say that he wanted me to take a low dosage of a Beta Blocker and said that it would help with my heart doing that and also it would help with THYROID related issues and hormone levels in keeping the heart beating like it was suppose to as the Thyroid hormones when going back and forth or not adequately treated causes affects on the heart. He wants labs on the Thyroid when my Endo orders them in a couple of weeks. ( HA, that would be a TSH). My Echo Strss Test was good and he said the arteris and everything looked good. The only thing he said was that I could only stay on the treadmill for 3 minutes. He said that he wanted me to start out 15 minutes every day very very slowly and walk. Then work up to 20, and 25, and then 30 but to keep a very very slow pace. Then when I can tolerate that, to increase the intensitiy. He wants me to strengthen my muscles as he said they are weak. He also said that walking would be good for my Cardiovascular System. He said that he puts no limits on my heart of Cardio activity that he thought my heart was strong enough for any kind of activity but the problem is being able to actually do it with the issues I have. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you and wondered if anyone else has had any Extra Beats due to Thryoid issues? Thanks Vicky Hugs
