Guest guest
Hi Glynis, Way to go girl.......... My GP put on my medical notes " she is convinced she is hypothyroid " . I had been going to him (and other doctors in the practice) for years with hypo symptoms. I gave him the medical notes from my endo visit, he reluctantly put acquired hypothyroidism on my notes and is now prescribing me T3 - he said that as he is retiring soon he will not prescribe NDT - obviously he is thinking more about his pension. I will wait my time to say " I told you so " . I am also trying to be a thorn in the side of my endo. I have been writing, with the help and advice of Sheila, since early 2008. I have lost count of the letters I have sent him. Now I have sent a letter to the head of the hospital. My other half has been told by his GP that as he is self medicating he should 'get on with it'. We are now drafting a letter to him. I think we should all write letters, of complaint, instruction or information to all the doctors and tell them that the letters should go onto our medical notes.
