Guest guest
Hi Lynne2, If thats the test where you hold a metal thing in one hand and its attached to a box thing with a battery in,then yes I have had it done several times.I was told I had a big problem with candida,so big they couldnt find a treatment that worked.I was also told I had many high level intolerances, which didnt change dramatically even with a strict diet.If its the same test, how have you got on and what treatment have they suggested? Guest guest
Hiya, Yes, I had mine done in 2008. It highlighted my intolerances to certain foods, allergies and vitamin and mineral deficiencies. It even highlighted my thyroid, adrenal and candida problems. It does not give reference ranges but it gives an idea what is going on. I thought it was very good. I am due to have a re-test when I can afford it. Guest guest
HI, I have had two different types of tests for allergies. One was where you hold an electric gadget that works by impulses, which could have been this VEGA test. The problem is that I was given advice and a variety of items to aid me. It cost me £100 and face to face with an angry Husband for spending all that money. One of the remedies caused me a lot of pain, and I received advice to stop taking it, but after that the shop did not want to know. The GP at the time did not deny the results, but that there was a health reason behind them. In other words I think she was saying not to be conned into buying remedies from the shop as well. The other test was a piece of hair for analysis, but on this occasion I was not conned into purchasing anything. I took the result to my GP, and although he looked at it and poo hooed it as wasting my money and not at all reliable. Is it also any good paying money out for these sort of tests if ones GP is not interested, and to take advice from somebody not medically trained may cause a bigger problem or even conceal symptoms for ones GP to investigate. Most of us already know that we do not always get the best of advice from a GP,but be wary of some shops wanting to sell their products, as they may not be eager to take the blame when things go wrong. Guest guest
Hi Sharon Same with me it highlighted candida and intolerances including mercury. Mind you, if I did it again, I would not say anything about why I was going for the test so the results were just the results and not potentially 'skewed' by what I had told the naturapath beforehand. Interestingly enough my dentist has just called me back to discuss the mercury issue - within the last five minutes - he is obviously working late tonight! He says there is more of an issue of mercury leaking when changing fillings than leaving them be. He explained that they are not real mercury they are some sort of compound which when combined are less harmful - he used a salt analagy to explain this. He suggested changing them to white fillings as and when I need a new filling would probably be the best plan. All these opinions are just so confusing aren't they? Guest guest
Hi Lynne 2, I had all my amalgam fillings removed several years ago.I have a mixture of white and gold fillings now.But I dont feel any better now than before I had them all removed.Amalgam is obviously a terrible thing to put in peoples mouths and I was told that if you have gold fillings as well as amalgam its even worse,as the gold leeches out the toxins even more.Whatever is put in your mouth the dentist is the only one to profit!
