Be sure you have plenty of desiccants to put into your tubs to

soak up any moisture. When you receive your Erfa Thyroid (I think they come in

tubs of 500 tablets), I would divide them into 4 weeks supply at a time and

freeze them separately in little containers - you can then take out just one

month's supply and keep them in the fridge. Don't take them frozen. Many of us

bought in more natural thyroid extract than we needed when we got frightened

that it was being phased out, so put any excess unopened in the freezer.

I am pleased to hear you have found a good doctor to see in

Brisbane - March is not a long time away and it will be worth waiting to see

him. Can you send me his name and email address so that I can add him to my

list of doctors to whom I will be sending a link to the questionnaire that he

can send to his patients in order to find counterexamples to the levothyroxine

only therapy please. Send this to sheila@...

please.

Do you feel better with the warmth over there?

Luv - Sheila

thyroid treatment

Subject: for Sheila Re: Freezing NDT

Hi Sheila! I'm expecting a new supply of Erfa

Thyroid to be delivered to Australia some time in the next couple of weeks. As

you can see from my post in Jan below, my meds seem not to take this heat and

humidity very well out here, so I need a new supply. I'm recieving 400.

Though I've read various info about how to freeze NDT, no one has explained how

to defrost (should I swallow them frozen or defrosted?) I will have a large

supply, so how much would you recommend I freeze and should I store a months

supply in the fridge with dessicants there too?

Could you explain please? It's just I know you do this yourself, so would like

to have some guidance.

Will be seeing a really great doc in Brisbane that I found on Thyroid-info.com,

Shoman's site I think. Unfortunately, he is so well regarded that I

probably won't get in to see him till some time in March!!

Hope you're well xx

I live in Koh Samui in Thailand and it is very hot here too, most days at

present it is about 33 - 34c and like where you are it is also very humid, I am

also taking Erfa NDT, I keep all my tabs in the fridge, I take out say a couple

of weeks worth and keep these in my bedside drawer in a small container, (so

I'm not opening the main container all the time) as we have the aircon on and

the house is pretty cool I don't think my NDT is/will deteriorate - unless

anyone knows better - I'd be interested in finding out more about this too..

There's you in Thailand Carol and in Australia in baking

heat, whilst is in West Virginia under 36 " snow and now, I believe,

with no power whatsoever. He took his tractor out to clear his three quarters

of a mile drive and it got stuck in the snow. The snow over there is terrible.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to have so much snow fall almost

overnight, be stuck out miles from anywhere, have no power so no Internet

communication and probably no telephone lines either. I hope he has plenty of

provisions in to carry him through and loads of logs to keep them warm.
