Guest guest
I had a broken amalgam filling replaced last August so I took the opportunity to have a white filling put in. I had a bad reaction to the injection, racing heart and feeling generaly panicky and wound up, and it didn't work properly and made me feel the pain more, not less so I had to have another injection. By the end of this I felt dreadful. Although I didn't enjoy going to the dentist in the past I wasn't scared, but I am now. I have mentioned to the dentist about the adrenaline in the injections and thyroid/adrenal people not being able to tolerated it, and I did ask about adrenaline free injections, but she was a bit vague and acted as if she didn't know what I was talking about and said something about all the injections being the same. Unfortunately last night I think I cracked this new filling and am in pain so I've made an appointment for tomorrow morning and I'm definately not looking forward to it. I know some other members have had similar problems with the injections and I wondered what you can suggest I say to this dentist to make her take notice/be a bit more co-operative? Thanks, Louise.
