Guest guest Posted July 18, 2009 Report Share Posted July 18, 2009 hello ...i was just diagnosed last month with Autoimmune Thyroiditis (Hashimotos) & Sub-clinical Hypothyroidism......i have both antTPO (619) and TPOab antibodies (829)...my TSH is at 6.2....other than this i am perfectly healthy organs blood vitamins etc...... I am now 23years old....which is quite young to have this problem as i am very sick at the moment....i have been on Levothyroxine for 6weeks now............ I wannted to know.....if it was possible...if my severe case of Glandular Fever was responsible for this terrible illness????....i caught or develped a severe case of Glandular fever when i was 18 years old.....and it lastes for a massive 2 years to get totally rid of the fevers......depression....aches and pains..swelling.....this was an extremely long time to have Glandualr Fever for ive been told....but the worst of is subsided at around 9 months.....and then symptoms lingered for about 2years.........I became unwell with tiredness...panic attacks....extreme cold......digesitive and PMS issues ever since my Glandular fever...i just never felt well......everyone though it was in my mind......until now....... Please let me know what you think......i am very upset to have this so young...and its taken since the age of 20 for a doctor to even look at my Thyroid and anti-bodies...i had ben severely neglected medicaly all along....and i was very young...and unable to defend myself properly it has been a great injustice.......:/.....i have lost the best years of my yyouth being sick...tired and thinking i was not well mentally...... A resounding YES to that one, it has probably given you low adrenal symptoms as well which is why it lasted so long and will stop you recovering until you support them. Have you done the 4 times a day adrenal saliva test?
