NHS docs are not covered by their insurance if they prescribe it- it also goes

against the RCP guidelines on prescribing- which is why many refuse to

prescribe. some brave souls will . Mine won't, but is happy to do all the

thyroid tests that my private doc( the insurance is different so covers NDT)

asks for( who does prescribe the NDT)

I will send you a doctors list privately Ruth. However, any

chance you could get up to Yorkshire as Dr Peatfield has a clinic at my cottage

29th, 30th and 31st January, and the morning of 1st February. I live between

Keighley and Skipton?

Hi

today i took the first step and ordered Armour thyroid from an internet site

suggested by this forum....I am hoping today is the beginning of a new happier

chapter for us

but now I would like to know this... if as I expect, my Dr will not prescibe

the Armour for my husband, how can I find someone private who can guide us and

suggest tests that the GP could do....as you said your GP does tests your

private Dr asks for

I phoned Dr P's office but he is nowhere near me for at least the

next 6mths

Does anyone know another Dr in or near Leicester who we could see for advice

around the issues of adrenal stress, candida etc

Thanks Ruth
