Stick with the kind made from birch bark.LinnOn Aug 12, 2010, at 10:59 AM, kathleenkennard@... wrote:

Hi Gail!

I have been using xylitol and am pleased that you find it safe also. I actually started the deglyccyrized (sp) licorice dissolved in raw goats milk this morning from the Dr who uses it for CFS and low cortisol. Since the DGL is completely unsweetened I used xylitol.

Do you know if any brands of the Xylitol are either non GMO since they are mostly sourced from corn, or is it better to go with the birch one? I know that is triple the price usually.

I can't eat grains still or even coconut flour but when I get there I look forward to baking with it. I have not had any natural sugars for a year and a half!
