Guest guest
I posted about a week ago about my son's labs. He has lots of strange things going on. He is high in copper and lead, he stopped eating a year ago and drinks pediasure - just diagnosed with lymphoid hyperplasia (gut inflammation) also has reflux. He has constipation mixed with looses stools as well as very little appetite (even with pediasure). When we were recently doing some testing I asked for a thyroid panel to be done. They only checked the TSH and the Total T4. I then asked for a full panel to be done. The only difference is that with the first labs they were done at 8:30 am and he was fasting and the second ones were at 10:30 am and he was not fasting. Below are the results - do I need to treat him? What does this indicate? My pediatrician won't treat and isn't worried and it is taking us until August to get into a pediatric endocrinologist. First Labs: TSH 11.9 - upper end 10.9 T4 5.33 - upper end 4.78 Second labs T4(Thyroxine) 10 (4.5-10.9ug/dl) T3 total - 1.9 (.6-1.81ng/ml) Thy Perox AB - 28.4 (15-60 U/ml) TSH 2.123 (.64-6.27 mIU/L) Free T3 - 4.2 (2.3-4.2 pg/mL) Free T4 - 1.05 (.89-1.76ng/dL) Ferretin - 20 (22-322ng/mL) Reverse T3 - 351 (150-710) Copper - 128 (90-190ug/dL) Thy Antithyglob - <20 (0-40 IU/mL) Thyroglobulin - 54.1 (.5-55NG/ML) Reference ranges 30 day old infant (19-51) 7-12 year old (20-50) 13-18 year old (9-27) Zinc - no level because below 5 is undetectable Selenium, serum - 108ug/L (23-190) Thanks for any input!
