Guest guest
I am now being referred to the adrenal's site because I have odd lab results. Yes, my cortisol was low in 2008 and my current TSH is 13.2 but this blood test for the TSH was done after I started on Iodoral(25mg)just one month ago. Here are my latest labs: TSH-13.2 range .3-5.0 RT3-183pg/ml range 90-350 FT4-0.8 range .7-1.8 FT3-2.3 range 1.9-3.9 Iodine excretion level-74% Then the labs from 10/08(because those weren't done this time). At the time these were done I was still on compounded T3 and T4: estriol-17pg/ml range 7-38ng/ml cortisol a.m.-5.21 range 1.4-17 cortisol p.m.-.3 range .5-3.1 DHEA-156.3 range 30-400 Now I take Dessicated thyroid-90 mg(and have for one year) and 25 mg Iodoral. Do you think the RT3 and other results from recent blood test could be my body adjusting to the new iodine my body is receiving? Would it be wise to wait several months before having anymore blood tests?
