iodine for dogs

I have been reading information on canine seizures because our dog has

had a few and we are considering putting him on phenobarb. It is

interesting to see that potassium bromide is another drug that is used

for seizure control, this makes me wonder about iodine for dogs.

I don't think it would hurt to put our dog on some iodine but don't know

what the dosage would be. I have 50 mg tablets but could get the 12.5

mg Iodoral and cut in half as needed. Does anyone have experience or

information that will help us?
