Guest guest
Hi all, This is pretty interesting news!! At first I thought, Cipla does trizivir. Then one reads further. I think this is a pretty remarkable idea but would like to know the dosages of each. Still, if it dramatically enhances adherence and works--well, it could be a remarkable advance. What do people think? Maybe more such combinations could be formulated by companies who can do things based on health instead of profit margins. (not to say Cipla won't make some money--but the amounts they make are, in my view, normal, healthy business profit, not outrageous, genocidal fucking greed of our companies here in the US). M. Guest guest
Dear M. and others, First lot of limited quantity of Triomune has come for consumption of people with HIV/AIDS. Two different dosage size are being marketed. It contains Lamuvudine 150 mg, Stavudine 30 or 40 mg and Nevirapine 200 mg. Triomune-30 (with stavudine 30 mg) : One tablet twice a day, for those adult patients below 60 kg Triomune -40 (with stavudine 40 mg): One tablet twice a day, for those adult patients above 60 kg Pack size of 30 tablets, Price Rs. 900 and 930/- (monthly Rs. 1800 and 1860/-) Those patients less than 30 or 40 kg can take half the recommended doses. Most economical and least side effects, suitable for patient compliance; will bound to have better compliance even in developing countries, despite reservation by western researchers. If the crtieria of plasma Viral Load for monitoring could be avoided and if the interval between follow-up investigations is widened, the monitoring costs can be drastically reduced. Sincerely yours, Dr.Gilada
