Hey and Kathleen,

Just checking back in,have you been able to locate a holistic doc in the Atlanta

area?

Thank you so much. Stine

normal and has nothing to do with your levels of FreeT3 and FreeT4. Your doctor

needs to test you for those Free's as they will give an accurate picture of how

your thyroid is doing. Have you read the New Member Doc. in the FILES? There is

info there that explains this. You can copy it and educate your doctor.

Secondly, have you considered taking natural thyroid? Most people do better on

Natural Thyroid Hormone, such as Naturethroid or Erfa. Kathleen

taking synthroid. I have been on it for 15 years and have recently started to

add Lugol's on a daily basis. Recent blood tests show TSH at 10. Doctor thinks

Lugol's is messing it all up and wants me off of it, or she will increase

medication. Currently on Levothyroxine 112mcg. I don't know what to do because I

don't want to increase medication. Please anyone out there I need good direction

for my health. Thank you - stine

These are thyroid related doctor recommendations:

GEORGIA

1) Dr. Kunz; family practice; Lawrenceville GA 770-682-2024

In process of moving to cash-only in 2009; does right tests, treats with HC and desiccated thyroid. He was first to give a patient Armour, and she stopped going to him as there was never enough time allotted..that will likely change with cash only. Treats men... 2) Dr. Ana Cabeca: 912-267-7780 Brunswick GA.

Uses dessicated thyroid, also treats kids and men. Bio HRT, dessicated thyroid, saliva testing... Men are cash only, but she fills out paperwork for insurance.3) Dr. Goldman: Alpharetta GA 770-682-2024.

Treats men too--bio HRT, dessicated thyroid..comes recommended by his patients.
