i was wondering if anyone gets a sharp, bleachy smell in their nostrils when using iodine.  i use a low dose but have noticed this odor. i thought someone cleaned with bleach. it is kind of that sharp smell like when you are getting a cold. anyway, i am curious. not particularly in love with bleach. now lavender on the other hand......

Iodine removes chloride from the body, which is what bleach is made of, you may be smelling the detox of the chloride being converted to chlorine, particularly in the head area.Lora PriceBerkley, MI i was wondering if anyone gets a sharp, bleachy smell in their nostrils when using iodine. i use a low dose but have noticed this odor. i thought someone cleaned with bleach. it is kind of that sharp smell like when you are getting a cold. anyway, i am curious. not particularly in love with bleach. now lavender on the other hand......diane, near philly, pa

oh. well i didn't take it today cause i didn't want the smell although i do have it a little anyway. i will have to take it daily again. do you know if iodine deficiency can cause a nose that doesn't smell things very well? oleofactory issues... i do not have a very powerful sniffer... diane, near philly, pa On Jan 7, 2011, at 5:49 AM, Lora Price wrote: Iodine removes chloride from the body, which is what bleach is made of, you may be smelling the detox of the chloride being converted to chlorine, particularly in the head area.Lora PriceBerkley, MI i was wondering if anyone gets a sharp, bleachy smell in their nostrils when using iodine. i use a low dose but have noticed this odor. i thought someone cleaned with bleach. it is kind of that sharp smell like when you are getting a cold. anyway, i am curious. not particularly in love with bleach. now lavender on the other hand......diane, near philly, pa
