Guest guest
What about the effects of Iodine supplementation on quality of life ? I have read about increased energy and clearer thinking. Has iodine added to your sense of well being ? How long does this take to happen ( mean average ) ? Does the increased quality of life remain over the longer term ? Be well,
Guest guest
It is different for everyone. It gives me more energy and clarity of mind. I have to keep taking at least 50 mgs - more if I am feeling toxic in order to reap the benefits. Guest guest
More energy and clarity of mind are my biggest things too. Plus the comfort of knowing that my body has the iodine it needs for cell apoptosis, in order to prevent cancer. People need to keep supplementing with iodine so that they are not returned to the state of ill health by the constant exposure to bromides and other halides that displace iodine from the body. As soon as iodine is displaced from the body (the halides sit on the cell receptors meant for iodine), that cell cannot function correctly. -- At 07:44 PM 1/3/2011, you wrote: >It is different for everyone. Guest guest
What if you've noticed nothing different from taking iodine? I've been taking for months, up to 50 mg (haven't gone over yet, usually because something happens when I hit that amount and I often attribute it to the iodine, then turns out it probably wasn't, but anyway), and haven't noticed any benefits. -AngieOn Jan 3, 2011, at 8:57 PM, Baker wrote: More energy and clarity of mind are my biggest things too. Guest guest
I didn't notice any change in my condition until I went to 75 mgs. Now I can take 50 mgs with the benefit but I think I needed to clear out some major "crud" first. Guest guest
I am one of those who at 7 weeks, diligently taking my iodine, not missing a single dose, has noticed nothing. I was initially surprised that my doctor told me to wait 3 weeks ago and not raise the Iodoral dose. But, that makes sense because he started me on hormone therapy (haven't noticed a thing from that either), and asked me to take some things out of my diet. So, now I am focusing on the other supplements as well. Which brings me to my question - does anyone have a recommendation for a vitamin C product? Its the one thing I haven't been doing. I now vaguely recall that years ago, when I tried to take some vitamin C, it never seemed to agree with me. I know that high doses are recommended (per Dr. Brownstein's book), and I'm wondering if someone has experience with a particular formulation that is easy to absorb with little side effects? Thanks! Guest guest
If I take my max dose 10 iodoral or even 5, the day before Bikram yoga, and the day of, I have so much more stamina, and physical strength. But when I take none, I have very littlestamina & strength.-AliOn Jan 3, 2011, at 5:44 PM, ladybugsandbees wrote:Messages in this topic (2)
Guest guest
, That is really something to think about. Maintenance is a must then. What are normal maintenance levels ? Thank you. > > > >It is different for everyone. It gives me more energy and clarity of > >mind. Guest guest
Thank you Donna and for the explanations and important details. Some have problems with regular Vit C in larger doses. What about timed release or buffered or ester c ? Which is best for those who don't easily tolerate larger doses of Vitamin C ? > > > > > > >It is different for everyone.
