question about iodine use for pets

I started giving my 14 year old dog 2% lugols in his morning water (3 drops

daily). He seems to have perked up a little since I started a few weeks ago.

However, I'm not sure if it is bothering his stomach as he has stomach issues

and takes Pepcid. I was wondering if it would be better to give him Iodoral and

if so, how much should I give him?

Any suggestions appreciated.
