Guest guest
According to Dr. Abraham, taking 50 mg/day of iodine for three months will ensure that you are saturated with iodine. Guest guest
But there are some of us that have taken more for longer periods (me for instance - 50 mgs 1 1/2 years, 75 mgs - 6 mos, 125 mgs - year, 100 mgs - 1 year). I am still only at 50% saturation but my bromide levels are through the roof. Guest guest
I wonder at this statement. Is it a dependency where the body becomes accustomed over time? Guest guest
That seems like one is living in a bromide mine when it's that high still? It seems that there must be a source in your life, or is it possible that it built up over years? Guest guest
I really don't know. I am experimenting right now--trying to lower sex hormones, then maybe I can lower Iodoral. but I think Dr. Abraham takes 100mg. Gracia Bruce P wrote: > > I wonder at this statement. I was just reading over the Iodine Remedies Secrets from the Sea free ebook that was just posted, and it says that: >Nobel Laureate Dr. Albert Szent Gyorgi, the physician >who discovered Vitamin C, called potassium iodide >the universal medicine, and took 770 milligrams per day >as a preventative dose. There's a lot of info right at the beginning of that book that discusses therapeutic dosing. Dr Gyorgi took 770mg/day. I don't think we should be calling it a dependency to need iodine when we absolutely require it and we are living in a fishbowl of toxins we now call Earth. -- At 11:25 AM 2/20/2010, you wrote: >----- Original Message ----- >From: Gracia > >I have taken 100mg Iodoral for 2 years--can't take less. >Gracia ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
Note I did not call it a dependency. I have always said it's essential since I joined. It was a question worth considering. I have these kinds of questions often. It is common with problem solving personalities. Cheers, Joan
Guest guest
Hi Steph, Where do you think the high bromide came from in your case? I too have higher levels that I should - more than double - but have not had things like bromide in flour or much in way of prepared foods. We did use bromine in the swimming pool but that was years ago. My daughter is an environmentalist and so I have been fairly aware/careful. Guest guest
I used to eat a lot of fast food - burgers, etc so maybe it was in the bread. I was also a computer consultant. There are some of us with bad detoxification pathways who do not push out anything they are exposed to so it just builds up. My son is high in styrene and benzene. Where did he get that at 10 years old? He also had high levels of bromide. Guest guest
I attended a talk last week given by a lady who had researched food additives and chemicals her family was exposed to. She had french fries from Mc's from 2003, and a hamburger from the same date. In a baggie, with packaging and receipt to prove the date. The stuff was dry but still the original color. The bun and burger were unchanged in color, no mold. The fries were also just dried out, no mold. I used to eat fast food every single day. I wonder about not only the stuff IN the food, but the packaging and the chemicals used in all those processes. Is that were the benzene and styrene come from? Hot food and drinks, served in or on styrofoam? ladybugsandbees wrote: > > I used to eat a lot of fast food - burgers, etc so maybe it was in the > bread. I was also a computer consultant. Guest guest
I don't understand the difference between bromine and bromide, but I was wondering...How is it in computers, and how are we exposed to it by them? I googled it, but didn't find much. Is is from actually touching the keys? Or is it given off in the air from the computer? Guest guest
It is part of a chemical flame retardant put into electronic devices so they won't catch fire if there is an electrical spark. Then they put a little fan inside, to draw air through, to keep things cool. So yes, the air in all our homes is probably full of it.AnneOn Feb 20, 2010, at 9:21 PM, lookonthebriteside wrote: I don't understand the difference between bromine and bromide, but I was wondering...How is it in computers, and how are we exposed to it by them? Guest guest
Personally, I think air filters always help, but I don't know if they are specifically effective for bromide. As far as that goes, there are a lot of different kinds of air filters which remove different kinds of crud from the air, so I guess that is something to study.AnneOn Feb 20, 2010, at 10:59 PM, BELINDA CARR wrote: would air filters help or not??? iodine From: slehr05 Date: Sun, 21 Feb 2010 05:21:01 +0000Subject: Re: need some advice here I don't understand the difference between bromine and bromide, but I was wondering...How is it in computers, and how are we exposed to it by them?
