Guest guest
Tom, I am familiar with this web site and if I'm not mistaking do they not have a money back guarantee? If not then you could always contact the Better Business Bureau. Bye for now,

Guest guest
I believe that this is a matter for the legal authorities, in particular the FBI or the State Police involved they did a great job for me in the 70's when I sent off for something paid up front and was never in receipt of the goods, the US Mail also put their bit in as the mail address was also fraudulent and used for fraud it might be a good idea to check up with the local FBI or similar org. Guest guest
Ruth, So you finally got married then Internet fraud is such a non-jurisdictional thing it's probably difficult to do much about. Though blacklisting via such groups as this doesn't hurt. www.fraud.org are supposed to be the crusaders in this area. However, the FBI do seem to have very wide reaching powers and I remember a story about two agents knocking on a door in Wales over a credit card crime. The real relevance of this to medics is the lack of proof of validity over a sites claims and in particular it's professional qualifications. I recently had to do an exercise on validating and appraising medical content websites and to be frank the results were fairly shocking. We had to try and establish some form of standards over content and accountability. Most of this should be from proper referencing of data, contact details, acknowledgement of copyright, checking links etc. Ross > Re: scam > > > >Tom, > > > >Unfortunatley you were scammed with a lot of other people. Guest guest
Yes we did very quietly, don't like all the fuss, you are the only one who noticed. If the fraud was US based the FBI often gets involved but there are other departments too which might be interested, you are correct in what you say though generally. Guest guest
I told you that we should have done lunch on Monday. Dick Subject: **SCAM** I hate it when people forward so many false warnings, but this one is important! Send this to everyone--repeat, everyone--on your e-mail list! If someone comes to your front door saying they are conducting a survey on deer ticks and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around, DO NOT DO IT! It is a SCAM; they only want to see you naked. I wish I'd gotten this Monday. I feel so stupid now. Take care of yourself, Liz

Guest guest
Today I received this sales pitch that seems to be directed to me as a member of the iodine group. Perhaps the sender can be asked to cease and desist. W. --- Beta Glucan for immune support Date: Sun, 19 Dec 2010 05:10:49 -0700 From: The Wheelers <anwheeler@...> Hi , Heads up on something you might want to consider for immune support is the product, Transfer Point Beta Glucan, it’s a potent immunomodulator. I take it on a daily basis, 1-500mg every morning for prevention. For my thyroid I’m taking Levothyrozine and also a compounded Armour, but I know, having my immune system on guard and ready means a lot. www.bakersyeastbetaglucan.com has a coupon code to use for a discount on their Transfer Point Beta Glucan products. The coupon code I use is: UltimateBetaGlucan To be informed,
Guest guest
This morning I received yet another email, this time from the OT group, which I had no idea I was subscribed to. The message may be a good one, but for me, it's still unsolicited, unwanted, and as such, if not a scam, then spam. On 12/19/2010 11:56 AM, coloredoctave wrote: I got it. Guest guest
And then there's this one. Maybe legit, and maybe I'm just too cynical, but this one definitely feels like a scam. I will forward both, . Hello, I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, I came down here to United Kingdom for a short vacation unfortunately I was mugged at the park of the hotel where I lodged, all cash, credit card and cell were stolen off me but luckily I still have my passport with me. I have been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and my flight leaves in less than some hrs from now but am having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let me leave until I settle the bills,I'm freaked out and confused at the moment I really need your help.. I'll be waiting for your response so you can get help to me right now. Thanks. . Guest guest
I did post that this is a scam. We get the exact same e-mail a few times a year. I got one from my dentist (who is a friend) and I knew was not in Europe because I had seen him earlier that week. Steph Re: Re: SCAM And then there's this one. Guest guest
This looks more like her email has been taken over. I had 4 of these from various relatives the same week who all had hotmail accounts or msn when facebook reduced their security settings sometime in 2010. She will have to make her password harder.
