Guest guest
are you taking the entire protocol? david From: Baker <vbaker@...>Subject: fibromyalgia flare, question on iodineiodine Date: Tuesday, 16 February, 2010, 0:47 I was just writing to the LDN list about my fibromyalgia flare that started about 3-4 days ago. I suddenly realized that this, like my eyes getting dry and gritty, might be related to upping my iodine to 75mg about 4-5 days ago? However, I've also got a new piece of stress on me since about a week or two ago.any thoughts? I haven't had body aches and weakness and joint pain for several weeks, since starting the LDN 7 weeks ago. There is a phenom known as "Fibro plateau" in which ppl stall out or backslide for a period before going on to more healing, so I was thinking it might be that, but then I realized it was coinciding with increasing iodine (but also, with new stress), so I'm confused.I'm trying to sort out what is going on and what I ought to do about it. So far have not added pain medication but getting to the point I've got to in order to do my street theater (it's Mardi Gras) tomorrow.thanks for any thoughts.--~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~--A.J. Guest guest
My thoughts would be to keep my magnesium levels and vitamin C up. Water is nice also. I have gone through the dry, gritty eye problem myself. It should eventually pass. > > I was just writing to the LDN list about my fibromyalgia flare that started > about 3-4 days ago. Guest guest
Did you see the link to lambs liver which gave an analysis of what it contains by way of vitamins and minerals. http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/lamb-veal-and-game-products/4670/2 What you may have missed is that there is an index in the centre of the page which indicates how inflammatory the lambs liver is and that has a number 670. It is linked to the colourful triangle. To learn what that means and how to balance foods to lose weight and decrease and eliminate inflammation here is a link http://www.inflammationfactor.com/rating_system.php Acid forming foods are said by some to be at the root of disease? Alkaline foods tend to eliminate the acidity and thus the inflammation.? An index which is linked to the above is called the glysemic index which many find effective. Definetly worth a look. Another method is enzymes especially proteolytic enzymes: http://www.enzymesinc.com/supplemental-information/using-proteolytic-enzymes-to-combat-inflammation.html I had bad digestive flare ups and I found that a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water worked wonders. Cleared my digestive problems in a few days. Now I use it if some food doesn't agree with me . A great find. Of course as we get older and because the food is so processed the enzymes are destroyed. So as a short term measure that may help. Guest guest
I thought I remembered that the lady who has the site http://www.fibromyalgiarecovery.com uses 100mg Iodoral, thyroid meds like Armour, and cortef for adrenals. gracia Baker wrote: > > I was just writing to the LDN list about my fibromyalgia flare that > started > about 3-4 days ago. Guest guest
Yes, also attributes fluoride as the cause of her fibro and iodine for complete remission. Guest guest
As this is directly iodine related, iodine replaces the fluoride and puts fibro in remission (cured) for those who have fluoride as a cause; http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/fibromyalgia.html The info and links on this page are complete and good. See specifically; THE CAUSE OF FIBROMYALGIA by A. Guest guest
Thank you so much, everyone, for your thoughts on my posts about conjunctivitis and the " fibro flare " I was experiencing. I really appreciate the links to more information, particularly the ones about fibro healing sites. I think I am pretty much validated in my approach with LDN and iodine protocol along with my longstanding NatureThroid and 5-HTP. Someone on the LDN list has been taking Iodoral for 5 years and is at 50mg/day. Her take on it was also that the " flare " was actually bromine detox, and to stop or back off on the iodine for a few days. It makes total sense to me, and her comments struck the idea in me that halide toxicity could be the very cause of fibro, and then I read some of your comments here speaking to that very idea. I consider this theory well tested with me now because yesterday I had to rush out of the house before I was ready, in order to get to the street theater call time, and forgot to take my morning supplements, which meant I didn't take any iodine yesterday. I was able to finish the entire parade route, 4.5 or 5 miles of walking, dancing, singing, and bursts of high-intensity street theater. (We were all Mother Goose characters, mad at the Mother Goose government and the Mother Goose Corporation and asking for water rights, health care, organic agriculture, no more terror of terror, hugs for elders, and cannabis legalization. Our song was a rousing rendition of " Do You Hear the People Sing? " from Les Miserables, plus a riffing chant that was very popular.) I was really in pain by the time I got home and had some bad leg cramps overnight, but it was earned. For me to be able to make that trek means so much. So today I took 50mg of Iodoral and will more gradually work my way back up and keep up the salt loading, because I didn't recognize my symptoms as the detox symptoms that they were, so they just kept getting worse. I've also had to come to terms with the fact that I've gained a little weight, which means my body is holding onto detox materials. I'm going to keep up with the salt loading and look forward to the weight dropping back away as I get saturated with iodine. I'm also going to look into appropriate cleanses. Again, thank you so much for seeing me through this healing crisis and for giving me the tools of understanding to continue forward in regaining health. in gratitude, -- ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
