Guest guest
Your pain is not necessarily vit C related. I believe that is still part of detox, and your body needs more C to help clear the toxins. Just because the pain started near when you took the C, isn’t saying it was the C. somethings just take awhile to set in. Remember that there is often a “healing crisis” – you might feel worse before you get better. I would keep on, and if it pursists, then try leaving it out awhile. Donna in IL I started taking Iodoral again (day before yesterday)- with the supporting supplements this time. :-) Thank you for that advice. Guest guest
Hello Diane, I also have clients on meds, and for the short duration of the cleanse, it is not a problem. And far worth the benefits in the long run....the goal of health restoration is just that...so you do not need the meds any more...meds were never intended from their inception to be lived on...just to help so that the cause of the cause can be identified and resolved... Guest guest
There could be many reasons for the pain you describe and since none of us have your past health history, diet, stressors, etc. it very difficult to give adequate advice. Some things to consider: Pain associated with the gallbladder usually radiates through to the back shoulder blade on the right side or in the middle between the shoulder blades. This back shoulder blade chest pain is one of the most common yet undiagnosed symptoms of a gallbladder disorder. It may come and go or be constant. And it may be sharp, excruciating or dull. It may also occur especially at night. Pain under the left shoulder blade may indicate a concern with the 1) stomach including ulcers, pancreatitis, ectopic pregnancy, diaphragm or a rib not moving correctly, 2) chest including myocardial infarction, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, aortic dissection. Vitamin C should not directly cause shoulder pain and in fact it can act as a pain reliever when used in high dosages. But some types of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) may cause stomach upset and some people experience stomach upset even with Iodoral. If you have low stomach acidity then this could be causing the pain or you may simply need to take your supplements with food. According to Dr. Jim Howenstine low stomach acidity can be a result of insufficient iodine in the body. However, if you are taking iodine (any form) then you will need to take Vitamin C. The best way to determine if a particular supplement is causing concern is to discontinue the supplement(s) for a few days to see if the concern is alleviated. If the pain persists, go see a healthcare practitioner that can help determine the cause of your pain. Be Well Dr.L I started taking Iodoral again (day before yesterday)- with the supporting supplements this time. :-) Thank you for that advice.
