Joan,

Initially I simply ingested the Lugol's. When that caused me

big-time stomach distress, I mixed the Lugol's with butter and that

worked well -- until I began reaching the higher dosages, at which

point the reaction on the part of my stomach was still pretty mild,

but I questioned the value/reasonableness of having any distress at

all. So I divided my dosage between oral and topical application,

continually experimenting until I felt the topical application was

the most effective and I arrived at what I do now. (The only

application that has so far yielded zero results is with my

hard-of-hearing ear -- but I still have hopes for that.)

I started with coconut oil but wound up with the more

difficult-to-handle castor oil (messy, sticky) because I had a

previous experience with castor oil that indicated it was

exceptional in it's ability as a carrier deep inside the body. I

have the schedule I do because castor oil is best on a "pulsing" (on

and off) application and because I've noticed that my skin lesions

do better when they have some "rest time" in between applications.

(In addition to the Lugols/oil combo, I apply Lugol's directly on

any lesion that is inflamed or that has risen above skin level.)

I am finding my way slowly through this journey, and it's very

possible I will be making further changes as I go. I think each of

us has to be sensitive to our particular needs and our individual

situations, and to respond to these as best we can.

Thank you for sharing. This is helpful, since I am still working with the iodine tx to suit myself. Holly

Now that I'm using the castor oil so much (as opposed to just for

the occasional ache or pain), I might get the organic when I'm

through this bottle -- but if I remember right, it is very

expensive. What I have now is the Heritage brand, cold pressed and

without Hexane or pesticide residues.

Hi ,

your experience is very interesting! Could you please tell

me what castor oil did you use? organic cold processed? or

just cold processed? Have you ever used the Heritage

brand? not organic, just certified by periodic laboratory

test to be free of pesticide residues.

Thanks!

Jen,

Try googling for castor oil organic Canada to avoid those

shipping costs. Re: your "safe for nodules/tumors" questions -- I

think it's best to err on the side of caution, so my advice would be

to scrounge up the money if you can and get the organic -- which is

what I will now be doing.

Re: my purpose in using the iodine protocol. I'm in good health now

-- for my 72 years -- but I've had all those years to build up all

kinds of problems from toxins, most particularly with mercury, and I

am trusting that my iodine protocol will eventually eliminate most,

if not all of those problems. (I have already laid the groundwork

for this with close to a decade of other health measures, esp. diet

and exercise.) Some of my previous posts have talked about some of

these problems and you can find them in the Messages section using

the name part of my addy: clairewest.

During my recent googling session for organic castor oil, I was

reminded of the use of castor oil for the scalp and hair. I'm now

going to try the iodine/oil combo on my scalp (I've been told the

amount of mercury in my brain is horrendous), although this will

probably make for the ultimate mess to clean up afterward. :)

Hi ,

Thank you very much for your so quick response! ^-^ What

you are using is what I just bought:cold pressed and

without Hexane or

pesticide residues. It is the best I could find after

searching several local stores. Previously I checked

Swonson website. The organic cold pressed castor oil is

just over $5. Unfortunately, the shipping cost pluse

custom to Canada is $19.

I am wondering what the purpose is for you to use castor

oil and iodine? I am using it for breast nodules. I think

the product I bought is safe enough for general use, but I

am not sure if it is safe enough for nodules/tumors. If it

is good for skin lesion, it should be safe for

nodules/tumors. If not, I will buy organic one from

website tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Jen

If anyone finds that they have iodine staining on their skin and really

need it to not be there (it will fade slowly, of course), you can use

vitamin C to fade it immediately. Just use some vitamin C powder (I have

used both ascorbic acid and calcium ascorbate) or crush up part of a

tablet, and scrub your skin with the vit c powder and a little water. The

Vit C really does, as it has been claimed, turn the brown iodiNe into the

colorless iodiDe. Right Away.
