There are two ways unrefined salt is used in the iodine protocol. One is that it is added to the diet as part of the companion nutrients. This amount must be taken daily. The other way is through salt loading, which is done in response to detox symptoms as a way to relieve them. If you don't have detox symptoms (headaches are very common), you don't need to salt load. best wishes, -- ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
My daughter had her first symptoms today, warm all over, when she finally drank all of her salted juice for the first time. She gets enough salt during the day since I let her salt her food freely. So, I guess, it was the iodine finally getting in her system. Guest guest
If you read, the salt loading and supplement protacal help push out the toxins from the cells in your body so the iodine can move in and do its work.Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. from IllinoisFrom: sylviane <sissyv@...>iodine Sent: Sat, April 17, 2010 4:10:48 PMSubject: Re: salt loading? Re: Re: interview with Elaine I have never seen anyone here say iodine is a quick fix, of course its important to eat a healthy diet, use co factors and other supplements, do salt loading, etc. Why would you want to post in this group if iodine didn’t work for you? I don’t understand that. but hey, that’s just me =-)
