Guest guest
Unrefined salt is not like refined salt. Your body uses it to increase hydration in the cells. Steph salt+thirst This is just an observation. But the salt loading has not made me at all more thirsty. I continue to drink plenty of water as per normal but am surprised at the lack of extra thirst. I am definitely retaining water, though. Guest guest
Why are you on the diuretic pill? And then I guess the next question would be why are you retaining water that you would need to take one? from IllinoisFrom: diane gaul <ditique@...>iodine Sent: Tue, February 9, 2010 4:09:46 PMSubject: Re: salt+thirst but is retaining water not a bad thing? i have to watch water retention. i take a fluid pill anyway and it is uncomfortable to have my feet and legs swell. diane, near philly, pa On Feb 9, 2010, at 8:08 AM, ladybugsandbees wrote:Unrefined salt is not like refined salt. Guest guest
well, to be honest, i have always retained fluid from the time i was 16, and not fat. i have been on a diuretic since i was 25 for blood pressure and for the last 15 since i had triple bypass (i was 41) and they took the veins out of my legs for the bypass. couldn't use them either. too small. and i do have to watch what i eat, i swell very easily. and i did with the sea salt. diane, near philly, pa On Feb 9, 2010, at 5:18 PM, ND wrote:Why are you on the diuretic pill? Guest guest
Armour iodine and real salt would eliminate the need for the diuretic. you are getting allopathic care but you might want a more holistic approach to feel well. gracia diane gaul wrote: > > > well, to be honest, i have always retained fluid from the time i was > 16, and not fat. i have been on a diuretic since i was 25 for blood > pressure and for the last 15 since i had triple bypass (i was 41) and > they took the veins out of my legs for the bypass. couldn't use them > either. too small. and i do have to watch what i eat, i swell very > easily. and i did with the sea salt. > > diane, near philly, pa > > > > > > On Feb 9, 2010, at 5:18 PM, ND wrote: > >> >> Why are you on the diuretic pill? Guest guest
Don't take the diuretic anymore, you don't need to being on iodine and salt water. Diuretics make you pee constantly, it pulls the water out of your cells. Guest guest
Have you done any research into the med you take for this and why? I could do this leg work for you but I feel maybe you should google the name of the diuretic you are on and google why one would have to take this for all their lives. Have you spoken to your doctor about why you are on it and what you can do to get off of it. I would hate to see you do the salt protocal and take that med at the same time. I would think you would have to drink over a gallon of water a day if not more so you wouldn't dehydrate.I'm a veterinarian technician not a medical doctor.Diuretics are generally taken orally in tablet, capsule or liquid form. They can also be administered through intravenous injection. Urine flow usually increases within hours of the first dose, but diuretics may take several weeks to treat conditions such as high blood pressure. The increased urine flow flushes the following dissolved substances (solutes) from the body: Sodium Potassium (except for potassium-sparing diuretic) Calcium Magnesium Chloride Phosphorus Uric acid Stimulating the body to remove more of these solutes also rids the body of the water in which they are suspended. DO you have a heart condition, liver or kidney disease? Upon reading, these are usually the reasons one would take this kind of a med. Please go to the link I have listed below and read this whole web site nad you decide what you need to do. People that are on these kinds of meds have serious medical conditions. You stating being on it for 40 years scares the heck out of me, to tell you the truth and all I'm going to do is guide you to read the rest of this web site Diane. I was always told that water pills were a no-no. That they were used to loose weight but upon reading what I just did about them, I think YOU need to read and talk to your doctor about this and why he has prescribed it for so darn long. Your body is very dependent upon it and I don't like all of the minerals it draws out of you and jeeze you can really screw up your kidneys with that stuff. Please read Diane.http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/diuretics.html?pageNum=3 from IllinoisFrom: diane gaul <ditique@...>iodine Sent: Wed, February 10, 2010 9:14:10 PMSubject: Re: salt+thirst i have been on diuretics for 40 years. wouldn't my kidneys be dependent on them ? diane, near philly, pa On Feb 10, 2010, at 3:20 PM, ND wrote:Don't take the diuretic anymore, you don't need to being on iodine and salt water. Guest guest
I am not knowledgeable about diuretics, but with some classes of drugs, you become dependent after long usage. Your body can stop producing vital factors or experience some sort of withdrawal symptoms. After 40 years, you might have to taper off very gradually to give your body a chance to adjust. By all means, know what it is for & whether it is safe to go off it, but also find out how gradually to go off it before you do anything.AnneOn Feb 10, 2010, at 7:39 PM, ND wrote: Have you done any research into the med you take for this and why? Guest guest
Obviously the drawing out theory needs to be balance by the putting in theory. In a 40 year span it would seem putting in has been greater than taking out? Words are one thing reality another? >>>>>>>> Why are you on the diuretic pill?
