Guest guest
Deaer Forum members, It is let you know that Mr. Laxman Meena ? HIV positive person from GAP-ISRCDE, Gujarat, India has not been granted visa for attending the 6ICAAP ? two of his visa applications have been refused stating that his application does not meet the criteria. Is his HIV status a question for non issuance of visa ? He has an invitation letter from the ICAAP organizers and has a complimentary registration for the stand of GAP and the Indian Network of NGOs working on HIV/AIDS. GAP had requested UNAIDS to send in a recommendation letter to the consulate to facilitate the matter. Iis unfortunate that it could not help a very enthusiastic Mr.Laxman Meena who was looking forward to this opportunity to share his experiences of living a normal & positive life after counseling. A film on his work has been prepared by GAP which was to be screened for the benefit of many other positive people in the Melbourne Convention.
