Are there any concerns that I should consider in regard to the discontinuation

of Iodine? Is it something that should be discontinued slowly, or can I

abruptly stop taking it?

Larry? It looks like that's your name anyway!

I remember that you posted about weight gain on iodine shortly after starting. I

remember because I was about to start iodine and was very uncomfortable about it

after seeing your post. And in fact, I ended up quickly gaining weight (which

was otherwise unwarranted) on only 12.5 mg of Lugol's. I was just wondering what

happened with your weight. Did the weight gain go away? Did you continue to gain

as you increased iodine?

Thanks,

Sherry

I stabalized and then reversed my weight gain with diet and excercise.

I think I'm becoming a bit hyper from the iodine. The eyes are starting to get

that stare about them, and there is a level of overall anxiousness and anxiety.

I want to stop, but I don't knowif it is best to do cold turkey, or to ween away

from it in stages.

Thanks...Would you mind telling me how you were dosing and how you increased?

And what type of diet did you change to?

I started with 6.25 mg of Iodoral (half a tablet) and after a few weeks I upped

it to 12.5 mg (a full tablet) per day. I backed it off to 6.25 mg a few weeks

ago, and now I'm contemplating discontinuing it alltogether.

I went onto a low carb diet and I started walking 3-4 miles per day after work.
