Hi Kim,

3 or 4 days on iodine is a very short time. How much Iodoral are you taking? Are you taking the companion nutrients (vitamin C, magnesium, selenium, celtic sea salt)? These are very important to take while on iodine.

Not everyone lowers their thyroid meds while on iodine, although some do. How are your adrenals? heart flutters can usually be related to adrenals. The companion nutrients for iodine are also very good for one's adrenals, especially the vitamin C and Celtic sea salt. There are so many things to to learn in the files, when you have time, read them. Welcome! Kathleen

Just started Iodoral

Hello,I tried Iodine in the past with an off-brand that made my upper arms itchy. I am trying again with Iodoral. I have been taking it for 3-4 days now.I'm wondering if it is possible for it to make a difference this soon? Is is safe to assume that I will be lowering my thyroid dose if I respond well to the Iodoral? I am wondering because my heart felt fluttery this afternoon and I've never experienced that before.I have not been tested but I'm confident that I am Iodine deficient. My son was born with congenital hypothyroidism (was already affected at birth with physical features). Through research I have found that this scenario is usually due to hypothyroidism in the mother due to iodine deficiency.I am very interested in learning what Iodine can do for me!Thanks,Kim

Actually yes it is entirely possible for the iodine to make a difference

this soon, especially when someone is so deeply deficient as you know you

are. I hope that your son is getting iodine treatment also.

Fluttery heart can be a bromide detox symptom. Don't stop or lower your

thyroid dose based on transient symptoms. Early on in iodine, I had a day

of feeling a bit racy and lowered my thyroid dose and it only set me back.

I'm sorry for the challenges this health issue has presented in your

life. Wishing you most well.
