Guest guest
I eat spinach in my salad occasionally and do not worry about it. In my opinion the key is balance. But that’s just me. Kathleen possible offtopic but iodine is included need to ask a question concerning the thyroid and foods that could cause it to slow down. I was told that raw spinach and raw brocolli should not be ea I ten because they slow down the thyroid. I need to know if this is true even if I am taking the iodine, unrefined sea salt, selenium, and vitamin c. Thanks in advance, n I_I
Guest guest
You may be interested in this video " Real Effect of Raw Cruciferous Vegetables on the Thyroid " . I found it quite informative. He basically debunks the whole " raw cruciferous is bad for the thyroid " based on one 1983 study, and how it really correlates to iodine deficiency if anything. http://healthznews.com/real-effect-of-raw-cruciferous-vegetables-on-the-thyroid.\ html Charmaine > > I eat spinach in my salad occasionally and do not worry about it. Guest guest
Charmaine, Kathleen, and everybody else - I was, of course!, curious to see what might be on this video, but when I clicked the link, Firefox popped up a warning message: " Reported Attack Page! This web page at healthznews.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences. Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system. Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners. " I decided not to override the warning to watch it, and wanted to alert others in case their browsers don't screen in the same way mine does. Meanwhile, if either of you has a clear recollection of what he said, I'd love to hear more since we'd cut our raw cruciferous veggie consumption here quite a bit.
