Guest guest
You can try to split the 50 mgs up during the day. Steph ] Finally at 50 mg and now jittery Hello,Wanting to know if anyone has experienced feeling jittery once getting up to 50 mg of Iodoral. It has taken me 5 months and now have been on 50mg for 8 days. I take all the support supps but my Vit C is only at 540mg from Acerola cherry powder. Mag citrate is 400 - 500mg and Calcium ( coral calcium by NOW) is 250 - 500mg per day. No extra B's outside of my multi, selenium at 200mcg. Never have had out of range thyroid test results so not on any meds. Did some salt loading this am to see if that would help, otherwise I feel fine and have good energy. I am on this protocol to reduce thyroid nodules and a breast cyst. Could my adrenals be stressed on this dose? Trying to monitor my temp too. Anywhere from mid 97's to low 98's.Thanks for any feedback,
Guest guest
I would say you need to up the vit C. Recommended is 2000 – 5000mg, yours is only a quarter of the lowest. The vit C helps to move toxins out, and you may not be moving them as fast as the lower amount. You could also up the mag another 500mg. Guest guest
What is the best way to take vitamin C for detox purposes? I've been trying to take 500 mg every two hours in an effort to keep it in my system. Is that good, or would I be better off taking a bigger dose at a time, but not as often? Thanks, Sherry > > I would say you need to up the vit C. Recommended is 2000 - 5000mg, yours is only a quarter of the lowest. Guest guest
Thanks Steph and Donna for you fast replies. I'll try all of your suggestions. I was hoping to stick with a natural form of Vit C but it is too costly when taking 2000 - 5000mg/day. I saw someone wrote earlier asking about a good brand of C. Can you recommend any in particular? Thanks again, kelly > > I would say you need to up the vit C. Recommended is 2000 - 5000mg, yours is only a quarter of the lowest. Guest guest
, A few times I experienced something similar when trying to increase my Iodoral. I found that taking the increased dose every other day with a lesser dose on the in between days for a week or so would ease me into the higher dose. I have worked my way up to 62.5 mg this way. You also need to increase your vitamin C to at least 3000 mg. There are many symptoms for adrenal fatigue and a great resource for that information is below. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info From: klmcontact <klmcontact@...>iodine Sent: Tue, April 20, 2010 2:44:41 PMSubject: Finally at 50 mg and now jittery Hello,Wanting to know if anyone has experienced feeling jittery once getting up to 50 mg of Iodoral. Guest guest
I use camu powder in my morning smoothie for vitamin c in food form: " Camu-Camu, a wild Amazonian rainforest fruit, contains more Vitamin C than any other known botanical in a potent food form. Camu-Camu is a fruit which grows in the Amazon rainforest of South America, and is prized for its bioflavonoids and its high Vitamin C content, indispensable for metabolic processes, including the formation of white blood cells. Camu-camu helps to maintain a healthy immune system and provides support for the brain, lymph glands, heart and lungs. " Beverly > > > > I would say you need to up the vit C. Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your advice. I am splitting the Iodoral dose and going to take 3 tabs today and 4 tomorrow, wil work up more slowly and see how that goes. Plus take more Vit C. All the info that poured in on it was very helpful. Due to the cost I think I'll make a compromise. I'll take a little less of the acerola vit c pwdr I take now which is by Health Force Nutrition and add in maybe the BalanCe or one like NSI's B comp. I like the info on Camu Camu too so may alternate with that food based C when my other one runs out. Thanks again, > > > > > > I would say you need to up the vit C.
