It sounds like you will detox. If you are concerned about having an issue you can start at 25 mgs and see how that goes and if you do OK then add some more. It sounds like you have a good foundation in place to begin. Your body needs iodine and will be part of the total healing process.

Need a little advice on protocol in relation to everything else--Thanks!

I had my iodine and bromide levels tested a couple of months ago and definitely showed a need for iodine with a definite bromide issue. I have been on 30mg HC daily for about seven weeks and am feeling better. My temps have stabilized but at still low at around 97.4. I have an RT3 issue that needs to be dealt with. I'm not sure if I will end up on Thyroid long term after that because my labsaren't horrible (according to the Thyroid/Adrenal groups). My question is when to tackle the iodine issue. When I took the loading test, I had a pain in my throat starting about 6 hours in that lasted about 24 hours and a metallic taste in my mouth for about 36 hours. I actually felt pretty good other than that, better than I had for a while. Of course it didn't last long and this was all before I started HC. Does this mean I can expect a pretty significant detoxreaction? I supplement with sea salt and take a pretty large array ofsupplements now including the companion nutrients that are recommended by this group. Should I wait and work on the RT3 first or could I go ahead and start iodine now that my adrenals are supported? I have cystic breasts as well. Maybe I'm just getting greedy but I am feeling better and want to keep getting better.Thanks for any advice,Beth
