Skill Buidlding Session on Interactive Web Pages at the 6th ICAAP

Dear All,

As a subscriber of you will be glad to know that the Organizers

of the 6th International Congress on AIDS in Asia Pacific, to be held at

Melbourne have accepted my abstract to facilitate a Skill Building Workshop

on " Interactive Web Pages on HIV/AIDS "

on Saturday the 6th October, 11.00am - 5.00pm - this time period actually

spans four sessions (with breaks of ten minutes in between - my heartfelt and

sincere thanks to the skills building committee who were very enthusiastic to

have me present an entire day of Interactive web page construction.)

Interactive Web page Development on HIV/AIDS

Objectives:

1) To impart skills on how to develop interactive web pages to webmasters

and NGOs maintaining or planning to maintain HIV/AIDS web sites.

Format:

Trainees with basic knowledge of handling MS Office and Internet Explorer

would be selected.

The web page development skills would be taught by a demonstration of twenty

sample Interactive HIV/AIDS pages. The main skills would be: Basics of Web

page development, Concepts of Interactivity, Interest creation,

Conceptualization of HIV/AIDS themes, Transforming themes and concepts to

pages, Basics of HTML and JavaScript and its use for Interaction, Requesting

and receiving reader's feedback through Interactivity.

The actual venue in the Conference will be intimated as and when I get further

information.
