Guest guest
My guess is that you are just very toxic. If I were in your shoes I would drop the iodine for a while and work hard on doing some full body cleanses. Start with your liver and add other things. There are some good juice / fasting cleanses that last for 3 days or more. There are formal cleansing products like Metagenics Ultra Clear Plus which is 28 days and the one that I did - eliminating foods and taking the cleansing product. I don't remember why you were trying to take iodine (health condition) but that may give me a clue as to what you are dealing with. Guest guest
you are probably right. my skin is very yellow, but not the whites of my eyes, just my skin. everything i have tried to take, iodine, dessicated thyroid, dhea, in time they all flare my sinuses and facial pain ( i had 9 sinus surgeries when i was young and stupid). i cannot seem to tolerate anything. barry > > My guess is that you are just very toxic. Guest guest
IF you cannot tolerate iodine then you need to find out why. I have found in all the cases where people have been willing to look deeper that it is high toxicity, liver pathway issues, detox pathways in general overloaded or adrenals that are fatigued. There are a few who threw up their hands and said they could not take it - period. But to my knowledge never really worked on the other aspects and tried again. Guest guest
How interesting! I had just read on drugs.com under " interactions " that lithium and iodine " May have synergistic hypothyroid activity; may result in hypothyroidism. " (now there's a familiar caution...) But your post had me curious and a quick search for lithium and iodine brought up this result where it talks about the combination of lithium and radioactive iodine being used for thyroid cancer: http://medicalcenter.osu.edu/PatientEd/Materials/PDFDocs/dis-cond/cancer/lithium\ -iodine-therapy.pdf. Certainly not suggesting anyone use radioactive iodine!! ... just an observation about the role of lithium combined with iodine, how it is described to help iodine stay present in the body longer. Dr. has an excellent write up about Lithium Orotate on his website for those wanting more information about this mineral. > >> > >>> > >>> > >>> i still cannot take iodine. even with the salt loading. i tried taking > >>> 1/2 tablet of prolamine ( 1 and 1/2 mg of iodine) twice a day and by the > >>> second day, i was in bed the whole day. could not move my head due to > >>> swelling in my right frontal sinus. every time. about to give up. > >>> > >>> > >> > >> > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Gracie, You need potassium. I would eat tablespoons of raw honey, starting now, until you can't stand it. Taking apple cider vinegar with that will help your body assimilate the vitamins and minerals better. This is a Dr. Jarvis remedy. I have been using Transdermal Magnesium sublingually, like someone posted here and I find it to be an efficient way to up my mg. Synthetic potassium isn't an option, needs to be natural. Guest guest
Hello , I also work with my mind and notice how my biochemistry influences my intellectual abilities. I have never had any good long term results with ginkgo, however, so far vinpocetine has been better. Can lithium can be obtained from food sources ? And will it give results similar to taking it as a supp ? I am after clarity of thought and ability to synthesize information. Vitamin D, I must say, seems to be helping. I have started slowly with painting tincture of iodine on my foot 3 days on / 3 days off... that is strangely very powerful. Since my thyroid meds have been cut in half, I will be taking another blood test shortly. Normally I only undergo bloods once a year. Should be interesting. This time the iodine/iodide which will factor in may influence the results.
