My children are now 8 & 11. But my 11 yr old is only 75 lbs. :)

When my daughter was 3 we started her on 3 drops of detoxified iodine but it didn't do anything to raise her temps. She was dx'd with hypothyroidism when she was 4 1/2. We started her on 6.25 mgs / day of Iodoral Monday through Friday with 100 mcg Selenium M W F, 500 mgs Vit C / day (we do Metagenics Ultra Potent C Chewables). She was started on Armour thyroid too as well as a B12 supplement 1 time a week and Floradix Iron + Herb for low iron levels. Both my 4 yr old and 7 yr old were on this.

They are now on a different protocol.

My 11 yr old is on 25 mgs Iodoral, 100 mcg Selenium MWF, 1,000 mgs Vit C daily, DMG Complete (has MTHFR defect) www.purezenhealth.com , Multi Vitamin, CoQ10 (tested low in organic acid test), Vit D3 2,000 mgs / day, UDO's Children's Probiotics. They are both gluten free too.

Don't really know who you are directing this question at but a gluten free diet help with children's, weight, stamina, even behavior.Iodoral, and the companion nutrients. My oldest daughter, 27, is an anesthesiologist at a hospital in Colorado and I finally shed some light in why iodine is important for her over all health and the companion nutrients that help aid out bodies in absorption and elimination of toxins. from IllinoisFrom: Honey <HoneyNBenNKids@...>iodine Sent: Tue, December 14, 2010 2:58:07 PMSubject: Re children and iodine was: Iodine and pregnancy Oh!
