I wonder could you put a few drops of lugols in one of those face mask vaporizers that you also put water in.... Have you seen those for children? Thanks for pointing out about not using potassium, that would be important.

I will say that I have gotten 2 colds since I've been on the iodine

protocol. The first time was not too long after starting. I was dosing up

with my usual regimen of herbs and supplements, assuming I was going to

lose my voice and have a long bout of bronchitis afterward, but I didn't,

although the cold was pretty strong, although I did have some lung

congestion it didn't last a long time and I didn't lose my voice. Then the

second one was a couple of months ago. This time, I held it off for a

couple of weeks before getting sick, and it finally hit pretty hard. Again

on my regimen. And again thinking I would as usual lose my voice

etc. This time the cold made me sick for a few days but left basically all

at once, and I didn't have lung congestion afterward. For me that's a big

improvement.

Yes you can nebulize with iodine. You can also do a wash with it and a saline solution.

Tammy,

" [Nebulizing] Lugol's is dangerous. Potassium chloride, another salt of

potassium, is used for lethal injection so I recommend only 'Nascent Iodine'. "

--Marc Sircus

I'd be cautious if I were you. greg

See Joan's post:

Marc Sircus says it works well with the nebulizer. I'm thinking of doing that

with my son. Note, he says DO NOT use Lugol's for this. You can find the

section further down in the article.

" Nebulized Iodine

In some countries nebulizers are given to people by prescription only because

they give a person direct access to the bloodstream and this is an indication

that this is serious medicine we are dealing with, so caution is advised. With

nebulizers we in part get the same effect as with injections, medications

quickly diffuse directly into the blood stream. Thus a nebulizer holds the

capacity to save lives.

When it comes to using iodine in a nebulizer special caution is needed. The

choice of iodine is important because putting in potassium, which is found in

Lugol's, is dangerous. Potassium chloride, another salt of potassium, is used

for lethal injection so I recommend only Nascent Iodine. Nebulization with

iodine offers an extremely strong therapy which can clear the lungs quite

rapidly of infections. Therapeutic concentrations can be increased for desired

effect but it is recommended that dosages start at the low end unless there is

an emergency situation. I would start my first iodine treatment with a weak

solution, 3 – 5 drops and slowly increase to ten drops or more closely

monitoring the experience. As long as the patient displays no discomfort or side

effects concentration can be increased strongly especially when in a life

threatening situation. One should expect much quicker and more dramatic results

with iodine then with H2O2. "

Don't take this as gospel truth. A doctor friend of mine told me that they have been using Lugol's in nebulizers successfully for years.

Thanks ,

This is an example how 'bad' information is important to post in order for the

truth to come out. It also gives testament to how an intellectual process can

stop the problem solving process.

Lugol's is over 180 years old. There is so much phobia over this one nutrient. The frustrating thing is that one person posts something and then people run with it as gospel truth without thinking about it. Pretty much everything is toxic when used incorrectly. We, as a group, cannot spoon feed every form of information to people (although many would like that). You have to be responsible for reading. Google is loading up historical medical journals and there is a gold mine of lost medical information there.

More great ideas here on Lugol nebulization etc...THANKS!You don't need a face mask to nebulize effectively with a cheapo ultrasonic nebulizer such as---->>> http://cgi.ebay.com/7-A-C-POWERFUL-PORTABLE-NEBULIZER-Treatment-kit-/170552971510?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item27b5bfd0f6

I never use one. I take a long in breath right from the spout where the " fumes " come out. Then I keep my thumb over that spout while I hold in that breath a bit. Thumb on spout means the " fumes " aren't going uselessly into the air

Is nebulizing a better way to absorb iodine? Does anyone know how much

solution you use in order to get,say,100mgs of nebulized iodine? My sis has

breast cancer(just finished chemo and is restoring her immune system). She

cannot stand to take any more pills, but I'll bet nebulizing iodine may be a

good start to get her on the protocol. Will it do the trick, though, at the

levels used in nebulizing?...
