Guest guest Posted March 15, 2011 Report Share Posted March 15, 2011 Those of us on this list -roughly 4000 of us, have taken 50mg-100mg and even up to 300 mg of iodine daily for several years now. Your whole body needs iodine and 95% of Americans are deficient of 5000 patients tested and similar results from doctors around the US. Japanese eat 12.5 mg of iodine daily in their diet. RDA is 150mcg which just isn't enough except to prevent cretinism possibly. Taking that amount of iodine will be one step in protecting yourself in the days ahead.
