Someone posted that Amazon is almost sold out of iodine and someone else asked where toget it - so I'm posting this source again, hope that's OK. it is an aquarium supplystore but aquarium stores are a great place to get good quality supplements such as

antibiotics and SSKI and at much cheaper prices. Also here's how you mix it up. If youorder in liquid, there are postal restrictions and it's much more expensive, you'll get alot more bymixing yourself which is quite easy. It's OK not to be exact.

Potassium iodide (SSKI)

Mix 148 grams potassium iodide with 100 ml water; if it doesn't all dissolve, add about one tsp more of water. It's a saturated solution, so you want to make sure all the crystals dissolve.
