Iodine/iodide/potassium iodide format

I am a bit confused about format options. To begin with, I got a small bottle of Elemental Iodine liquid from my health food store, as I “muscle tested” better for that format than Iodoral. I also take an ACE inhibitor and the insert specifically says not to take any extra potassium supplements while on an ACE inhibitor since that product makes one trend toward higher potassium levels to begin with.

After reading here, I switched to Iodoral, which is potassium iodide and iodine. Now I’m wondering if this is OK to take with an ACE inhibitor on board? Does potassium iodide/iodine break down to create a potassium supplementation situation? How would I find out more about this?
