Guest guest
As I understand the thyroid enlarges when there is not enough iodine in order to get the most of the little that is available. And if it gets enough it doesn't need to enlarge. Now I am wondering what happens to a normal thyroid that gets 50mg per day? Does it become smaller? And what happens when that dose is reduced to 6-12 mg again after a while? Does the thyroid become like " lazy " under high doses and has it then difficulties with " only " 6-12 mg? These are two questions that came to mind and I would like to know what experiences poeple have made when they returned to smaller doses after saturation was reached. Thanks.
