question regarding difference of SSKI & Idoral/lugols

I take Idoral 50 mg per day. However I also have SSKI, as well as Lugols. I

am not clear what the difference if, as both say potassium iodide ?

I have toy dogs weighing 5 & 10 lbs. They have not been on iodine.

IS the SSKI better than Lugols for people/animals that have not been on iodine.

What is the iodide ? Thank you,
