Has iodine really helped anyone lose some weight?

Just wondering...Hypo 7+ years, 5 docs later, finally feeling great on

compounded natural thyroid meds! Started iodine about two weeks ago, to help

shrink my goiter and to help with weight issues. My weight seems to fluctuate up

and down by 3 lbs. each day, with no real significant loss just yet. I eat only

meat, fruit and veggies, and work out or walk 4-5 times per week. I take Raw

Vitamins to give me the needed selenium and magnesium support; and I'm currently

up to 8 drops of Lugols a day. Does it just take awhile (I now we all want

instant results)? If so, could you share how much you lost and how long it took?

Also, wondering about the HCG diet; if anyone with hypo has done it and if it

helped? A friend of mine mentioned it and I'm considering discussing with my

doc. Now that I'm feeling good, I'm so anxious to get the weight off, so I can

finally enjoy a summer keeping up with my kids!
