You don't say what country your in, but if Rx. required in the U.S., thats

new.Order off e-bay, no Rx. required.Might also look at Nattokinase; an enzyme

which reduces your fibrin levels.I put it right on my wifes scar, did reduce it,

as i wasn't doing anything else concurrently. Can also take it as an oral

supplement, which might be good as a preventative.Do have to be aware it reduces

your clotting factors, so have to keep an eye on that, particularly if taking

other 'blood thinners' like fish oil or meds.Your Dr. can test for that, to make

sure your not reducing clotting factors too much.My Dr. did this for me.Fibrin

is a main ingredient in clots, i.e. scabs. Also a main ingredient for scae

tissue. It is the 'scaffold' for both.Healthy 20 y.o. with good diet, naturally

has enzymes to keep fibrin levels in check, however with age or poor diet, we

make less of these enzymes, while our ability to make Fibrin remains constant.

Excess fibrin can cause all sorts of poroblems, in addition to heavy

scarring;Macrodigeneration and cataracts, kidney problems, artheritis, and

pulmonary fibrosis.Google 'Pulmonary Fibrosis Nattokinase " to learn more.Jim

supplementation with iodine to prevent and treat several concerns but primarily

to preclude the development of keloid scarring after my recent surgery. Some

believe that Keloids (raised scars) are formed due to iodine insufficiency as

they do not occur in Japan...He has agreed that it may be of direct benefit. I

went to my pharmacy and interestingly was told Logol's is available only by

prescription now. I am going back to the doctor on Tuesday to get a prescription

but am unclear as to what to ask for. My pharmacy will compound or order in what

we request.

I'd appreciate any guidance you can offer.

Thanks for the info. I am in Canada. I currently take serrapeptase but find no

significant discernible effects and am starting nattokinase this week. I am

specifically interested in the iodine supplementation as my research indicates

thatis the largest determining factor in hypertrophic and keloid scar formation.

Hi CurEus

You do NOT need an Rx for Lugol's in Canada. In fact, we can get the 5% here in

larger quantities, theoretically.

It is not easy to find, but it is not prescription. You can order it off Ebay.

I ordered it from Health In-sync (info@...) They have both

prepared Lugol's or crystals to make it yourself, which is what I did. I do

think that in future I'd order it from ebay or from Xenex (?)Labs (can't

remember the name at the moment) in Burnaby BC.
