Grandson with intense resistance for medical procedures

Hi,

My grandson (age 6) was to have 2 teeth pulled by an oral surgeon this morning,

but because he cried, kicked and carried on so, the doctor became disgusted and

said h'e have to come back another time, after taking Xanax so that he could be

anethetized for the procedure. Also, he fell about 10 days ago and got a gash

in his head that required 3 staples. He didn't react well to that either.

Yesterday he had to have the staples removed and it took 3 people to hold him

down - he was thrashing so much.

He has had 7 cavities so far this year, presently has an abscessed tooth with a

couple of fistulas. He tends to be hyperactive.

His MD will only request TSH and Free T4 tests.

Is all/any of this iodine/thyroid related? Could someone give me some

suggestions? Thanks so much!

Wanda
