Guest guest
Hey all, Kira in Oregon here. Question about screening and diagnostics. Given that most of us with hypo/Hashis have some combo of goiter/nodule/fibrous tissue, and that we've been told we probably all have slow-growing thyroid cancer cells, what kind of periodic screening do all of you get? Through the years, and before discovering this board, I had 3 thyroid biopsies by FNA, a couple of ultrasounds, several nuclear medicine scans and an MRI. I'm tempted to never get another FNA and never another nuc med scan--- only ultrasounds from now on, while implementing the full Iodine Protocol. Do we really want to go down the road of periodically getting needled(with the incumbent trauma to the tissue and emotional distress involved), followed by radioactive imaging? What do you all do/think?KS
