Guest guest
I used to think the unrefined sea salt could furnish a therapeutic level of iodine, but I was very wrong to think so and to tell others so. It's minimal enough that you don't need to worry that you would get too much iodine through the unrefined if you were also supplementing. Supplementing is necessary. -- >I am using Sea salt for adrenal support and wondered if anyone knew >offhand how much iodine is in a serving (1/4 teaspoon)? Guest guest
There is a whole chapter on Adrenals and Salt in Dr. Brownstein's salt your way to health book. Adrenals regulate salt in the body. Salt is needed for the adrenals to function normally. (unrefined - refined stresses them) It's too much info to give in a nutshell in an e-mail. You need to read the book and get the context of it. I find that when my adrenals are stressed and I am tired if I pop celtic salt on my tongue it perks me up. Steph -------------------------------------------- General info on the book, I ordered it some time ago, and on asking where it is got the following; " We received your phone message today about your order of the book “Salt Your Way to Health” on 12-19. We emailed you on 12-20 to let you know that the book is currently being updated and will be re-issued as a second edition. The new edition will have 2 new chapters as well as other updated information. The cost will stay at $15. We will send you the new book as soon as it is available. We expect to have it within 2 weeks. " Awesome people there. www.drbrownstein.com Have his book on iodine, its great as well - as is Mark Sircus's ebook on iodine: http://publications.imva.info/ Have about 4-5 of these and are excellent. Dr Brownstein read Mark's book on iodine and liked it. Bruce
