Is the Iodine Serum blood test reliable?

I just found out i'm iodine depleted. My blood serum level is 18 (range 52-109).

I see most people talking about the urine test, so i'm wondering if the blood

test is accurate? A little background: I am hypothyroid and on armour. My tsh is

0.33(0.34-4.82) FT4 0.73(0.59-1.17)FT3 2.65(2.77-5.27) Ferritin 18.2(6.3-137. My

Doc recommended 12.5 Iodoral once a day X 2 wks. Then one pill twice wk. Is this

enough Iodoral? Please does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!!
