Guest guest
I'm taking a food based multivitamin and I was wondering if they actually work? Are they as effective as regular vitamins, or more effective? Do any of you take food based multivitamins? The one I'm taking is made from a type of yeast. If anyone has any experience with food based vitamins and if they work or not let me know.

Guest guest
I take all food based vit/min. A friend too regular vit C and he said he died 3 times. He is getting better but it took a long time. From what I understand, chemical vit/min are a mirror image of the real thing. Guest guest
I use Swiss made Bio-Strath for my 'multi-vitamin. It can be found online. I usually buy it from I-Herb. It is high in B vitamins. for minerals I use Trace Concentrace Minerals from Whole Foods Vitamin C -- Amla-C Plus Maca Magic Powder from Whole Foods for my calcium and other minerals besides its hormonal balancing properties. That's my basics. Joan > > Where does one get food based vitamins? > Thanks. > BarbF > > > In a message dated 4/12/2010 1:54:24 A.M. Guest guest
beth Do you find that maca helps with estrogen dominance what has been the benefit for you. Guest guest
I didn't know Maca magic was raw. Mace is supposed to be cooked. I have tried Whole Botanicals and NOW brands and have been satisfied with Maca Magic. I'll look into these prices. Guest guest
I am not sure, I had been on the pill for years and just went off a few months ago, so my estrogen status is kind of unknown for now, when I did the saliva adrenal test it showed high, but normal for someone on BCP, and I don't think I normally am high. The maca seems to kind of even things out, I was taking it for energy and adrenals. I don't take any thyroid meds yet, am supposed to get tested again by doc since my TSH was borderline high, am trying to correct things with iodine, dietary changes, and supplements.
