Guest guest
Hi, from what I have read, there is always the possibility of a false negative on the TSH, but I haven't heard of false positives, (hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong here) and you both appear to be positive. You are Hyperthyroid and he is Hypothyroid according to those numbers alone. Maybe the other numbers change things, but they were within the limits anyway. Your doctor should back you off and bump your hubby up if I understand things correctly. I have taken Iodoral for about 3 yrs now and I just got my TSH results (first TSH ever) the other day also but I guess I should have gotten the T3 & T4 like you did, because my TSH is 1.12, within the normal, but that doesn't mean it is right. I'm interested to see what the others say here on all of this. I can understand the anticipation you have for the doctor visit! > > I just received my lab results back on myself and my husband. Can someone help me decipher them? We are both on Naturethroid and have been on 50 mg of Iodoral for a little over a month. We do have an appointment to discuss this with our naturopath on Dec 2nd but curiosity is killing me. > > My results are: > TSH is .06 Range is .45-4.5 > FT3 3.4 Range is 2.0-4.8 > FT4 .9 Range is .8-1.7. > on 2 gr Naturethroid > > My husbands results are: > TSH 19.93 See ranges above > FT3 3.5 > FT4 .8 > Was taking 3/4 grain Naturethroid pre test bumped it up to 1 1/2 gr post. > > Thanks! > > >
