Guest guest
Hi, I'm wondering how much topical magnesium one should use to equal 400mg. It says each millilitre contains 225mg. Is it a quarter size dollup on my palm? Thanks, Lynn
Guest guest
Here is a link to a milliliter to teaspoon conversion calculator: http://www.asknumbers.com/teaspoon-to-milliliter.aspx 1 tsp = 4.93 milliliters So if you were wanting 450 mg (2 milliliters) it looks like you would use about 1/2 tsp. And just taking this opportunity to share again that the majority of the population is magnesium deficient so in general the most folks would do well to use a loading dose in the neighborhood of 6-800 mg/day for 4-6 weeks. Individuals with kidney issues may need to be more cautious with magnesium supplementation. Dr. Norm Shealy's clinical studies determined that depending on individual circumstances cellular repletion of magnesium would take 4-6 weeks with topical magnesium chloride. Oral supplementation with magnesium taurate (he saying that is the preferred type when using pills) took 1 year at doses of 600-800 mg/day. Once cellular repletion is reached a daily dose of around 400 mg appears to be adequate, again depending on individual circumstances. > > Hi, I'm wondering how much topical magnesium one should use to equal 400mg.
