Guest guest
Thank you! Epstein Barr and p 53 I attended a conference and the speaker was talking about Epstein Barr Virus (mono virus) causing a mutation in the p53 gene. I would like to get more info on EBV and its affects on the genes/body processes, etc. if anyone comes across it. My son was vaccinated for meningitis as part of a college exam and he developed EBV about 3 months after. And we wonder why college kids get it so much?? !! He has developed many health problems because of it. There is little research on this relationship- of course the drug companies want to sell their vaccines- but I did find some reference to the mumps vaccine and development of EBV. And I did get some responses to a query that I published in Weston Price, "Wise Traditions" from people who encountered the same situation. My message is, if you or your child is told to get the meningitis vaccine, look carefully into it because there are several strains and this vaccine does not prevent the most common strain. Also you must be re-vaccinated fairly often. At that time (2005) is was not recommended by the College of University Health Care ( I dont have the exact name) or the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Nurse practitioner at Geisinger in State College, PA, told me and my son it was required. Upon leaving the office after the deed was done, i saw in small print on the form that it was not required by the university. I went back into the office and questioned the MD in charge and her NP. The NP said that I didnt want my son to get the meningitis. and the MD didnt even apologize, she just asked, "what are you going to do? " Best, SylviaSylvia P.
