Guest guest
I've been buying from iherb for a few years now, but am disappointed that they stopped providing an automatic 10% discount (was mostly getting an additional 12% when I would spend at least $120, which is easy for me). Now you have to spend at least $60 to get just 4% off, and only receive 5% off of orders over $120. I've also noticed they've gotten pricey on some items, so some things I've found cheaper at Amazon now (some even with their " subscribe and save " program). It was nice to have one place to do most of my supplement shopping but, unfortunately, iherb lost me as a diehard customer. :-( Charmaine
Guest guest
Swanson often has free shipping for over $65.00 purchase. Vitacost will give it for over $49.00, at times, I think. What I don't find on one I usually find on the other, and wait for the free shipping offers. I always just read the ingredients, Swanson or otherwise. I try to avoid Magnesium Stearate (which most, but not all of Swanson brands have), as I've read it's toxic. Swanson carries many brands other than their own (as does Vitacost) at very low prices, which makes it worthwhile. > > Hi Pam, > > I shop several supplement suppliers online. My current favorites are Vitacost and iherb, both for price and good customer service. I use Swanson's too, but their prices are so very low they make me uneasy about what I'm getting. > > So, if you check Vitacost and iherb to see what they want to charge for the NAC, you might be pleasantly surprised. Vitamin Shoppe has gotten more and more expensive in the last few years. I only shop there when I really need a supplement ASAP! > > Dianne >
Guest guest
Swansons also has very good prices and frequent sales. SWANDEALS is a code that can be used for free shipping and $5 off on orders over $50 - at least it worked the last 2 times I used it. But...I've been shopping the various supplement suppliers, and even with the discount reduction plus some higher prices, iherb is still in the running for me.I'm on a fixed income and I need to cut every corner I can. I take a lot of supplements. While putting together my most recent order, I made lists of items & prices for iherb, vitacost and Amazon. This way I could see which prices were better. I wound up splitting my order between iherb and vitacost to get free shipping from both; I also chose the least expensive items from each. Unless you are able to pay $79/yr for Amazon's no-delivery-charge program, their shipping charges are very high. In some instances I've had to pay separate shipping charges for every item I bought. I've even seen them charge more for shipping than the actual price of an item, even when the item only weighs a few ounces. My main use for Amazon now is finding supplements that other places don't carry.
